What stays the same everywhere

Nothing is uploaded on any of these pages — every conversion decodes and re-encodes the image using your browser's own APIs, and you can verify that yourself in DevTools' Network tab on any of them. The 60 MB per file, 40 images per batch and 300 MB per batch limits are the same everywhere too, and exist only so a phone browser does not run out of memory — not to ration anything.

What is not the same everywhere is what survives the trip. Only JPG output carries Exif metadata across, and only from a JPG or HEIC source — each converter page above states exactly what applies to that specific pair, since the honest answer is genuinely different depending on the two formats involved.
